No scroll or read through the New York Times is complete without a few words of sartorial wisdom from Bill Cunningham. The most recent video (which is linked here, and every single one of them are delightful) gave me some inspiration for snapping a few photos this past Saturday afternoon.
Being New York, everyone is in black or black and white. The tourists, of course, are in color– in their beach clothes.
Every time I’m in the city, I try to take photos of a new building, or some detail that I haven’t noticed before. Rounding out 4 (?) years here, and I haven’t run out of things to capture. While there is no shortage of beautiful color in the city, especially in the late Summer, everything truly shines in black and white.
